Manos Negras translates as 'dirty hands' and sums up the hard work that goes into making every great bottle of wine and the expertise needed. Alejandro Sejanovich cut his teeth at Bodega Catena Zapata as vineyard director and since then has gone on to gain the reputation of Argentina's leading viticulturist. He specialises in high altitude growing and these Torrontes grapes are grown in Salta, high up in the Andes. The grapes are fermented in concrete for 10 days with no malolactic and no oak aging.

Torrontes is the Queen grape of Argentina and high altitude Salta is where you find the very best representations of this grape. Locally known as ‘the liar’ as the perfume aromas given off trick the drinker into thinking this is a sweet wine when in actual fact it is bone dry and packed with florality, this makes it a great pairing for spicier, exotic dishes such as Thai.
